Well, You Can’t Say George Mason Doesn’t Embrace Diversity

It’s amazing how far we’ve come as a nation to be more accepting of each others’ differences. First, an African-American president, and now, a black Mr. Mason. The progress is truly heart-warming.

Oh, and Ms. Mason is a dude.

(Via Rick Chandler at Deadspin, who inexplicably calls Mason “one of the more conservative Div. I schools.” I wouldn’t dare question him on that though for fear of stepping into another one of his wheelhouses.)

Former Managing Editor at UPROXX; former Senior Editor at @SBNation; former ska-zine editor, fan of bad sports teams and good beer.

I can’t help but think about what a conservative institution I go to whenever I’m taking my hip-hop culture class.

I was all for this, until he began dancing to the Nelly beat.

But even with the stereotypes, I will support my brother as Mr. Mason.
