This is much more enjoyable to watch now that we know the outcome. But live, it was anguish. From “holy shit, we lost” to “holy shit, we won!” in the span of about three seconds may have taken years off our lives, but it was totally worth it.
There’s been lots of talk this morning about how much Alex Barron sucks for handing the Skins the win on that play. But let us keep in mind that, while Barron may indeed suck, he was forced into sucking much worse because of how awesome Brian Orakpo is. He had no choice but to hold Orakpo on that play. Although, granted, it would have been much more exciting for the game to end with Orakpo sacking Romo, than the way it did. Not that we’re complaining at all.
Also: We realize asking the secondary to cover for five seconds is a lot in the NFL, but how did Roy Williams bust the zone THAT MUCH? He was all alone in the one place the Skins knew the Cowboys would be throwing the football.
