The Nationals Done Stole Their Curly W

walgreens.jpgHere’s another reason, with apologies to a certain Nats blog, for the Washington Nationals to change their name to DC Grays as they move into the new stadium next year: Walgreens had the curly W first, son!

Not only that, but the drugstore’s been rocking the white-on-red since 1893, when Walter Johnson was knee-high to a grasshopper. Plus, that pestle looks a lot like Da Meat Hook’s whoopin’ stick, although it’s probably just a pestle.

Walgreens is to CVS what the Nats are to the Braves (or Mets, depending on the year).
