Remember complaining about how old Robert Fick, Tony Batista and Carlos Baerga were?

Why is Ankiel batting 2nd? And why is Morse not in the lineup? Don’t we need to find out what Morse does with 500+ ABs? Why call up Flores and not an IF?
Who put Bowden in charge today?

Morse has the flu, Burnett sick too. Zimmon dl, laroche hurt. There’s a little context to this lineup of fail

Too bad Halladay isn’t pitching tonight instead of tomorrow.

We’re still in it, 1-1!

Ohhh. They had no other options tonight? Totally thought they were starting Stairs, Nix and Hairston instead of three all stars.

Maybe they should use this lineup everyday?!
Oh and they brought up Jesus Flores to have an extra catcher/bat, but mainly because they wanted to keep Roger Bernadina and a couple other guys down in the minors, hitting everyday.

Were there any other options for last night?…I mean, they could’ve thrown Cora in there or started Pudge over Ramos or Pudge at first over Stairs, but what do you want them to do? Zimm-LaRoche-Morse were all out…Since the lineup was so absurd and “Beauty such as this only comes along once in a generation” – Tell us what you would’ve done…

i enjoyed this post and its comments. also the game, go nats. it’s theoretically possible for the nats to be tied for first by the end of this series.
