Dallas Sucks

Redskins-Cowboys Open Thread

That’s our brother Beef following the Skins’ win over the Giants in Week 1. Here’s to him striking the same pose later tonight, except more Dallas-y.

Kickoff: 8:30 p.m. ET
Line: Redskins +3.5
Prediction: Redskins by 3
Beer: So you’re going to be in Texas for a Monday night game. You’re looking around for something local, but you can’t really bring yourself to buy something from Texas. It’s understandable and I have a solution for you. Two words: Choc Beer. Three Words: Choc Beer perhaps-perfection-in-tailgating-refreshment. Choc is a pre-prohibition-style lager made just outside of McAlester, Oklahoma in Krebs. Here is the argument for it being an amazing tailgate beer. 1) It comes in a can; 2) It’s under 5%; 3) The sixth is as delicious as the first. If you’re not into the lager, they make other stuff, a lot of other stuff. If you can’t find something to catch-you-in-stride-for-70-yards-to-tie-it-at-13-13-with-2:44-left-in-the-4th, you might as well grab a Lone Star and play it safe in an Orakpo Longhorns Jersey. — Mr. I Beer Guy Chris Larkum

Remember, Romo has thrown a TD pass in like 20+ straight games. Meaning, this ain’t over, obviously.

Hard to lay this at the feet of Rex. I think we’re getting to the point where we can pinpoint where Rex is in his career: adequate. For every TD he’ll probably have a turnover. He’s basically Brunell 2.0.

I’m hardly a Rex fan, but the sardonic snickering by ESPN commentators everytime his name get mentioned seems a little overboard. He’s not as bad as the consensus makes it sound.

But hey, Tony “Christ” Romo is the new Brett Favre. A mistake -prone QB who get’s jammed down our throats as the gritty gunslinger. Only one problem… Rex has more playoff wins than Romo.
