Redskins-Chargers Predictions

Here’s our staff’s completely scientific predictions for Sunday. Make yours in the comments. Whoever is closest to the actual outcome wins a guest post on this here weblog.

Jamie Mottram: Redskins, 27-10

RGIII shows up and shows out. The defense feeds off of it. The special teams are special.

Matt Terl: Chargers, 42-14

This Redskins season is feeling more and more like a TV drama about a “wacky” dysfunctional pro football franchise and less and less like an actual football season.

JP Finlay: Redskins, 30-24

They win this week, and win the next two. Will be 5-5 going into MNF against San Fran.

Todd Davis: Redskins, 27-24

They pull it together after a weird week.

Jack Kogod: Chargers, 31-23

Ugh, they’re going to lose.

Andy Peden: Chargers, 27-17

If Norv was still their coach this would easy. Instead, the Ron Burgundy’s win it.

Me: Redskins, 27-24

The playoff run to 7-9 and the NFC East title starts NOW. This isn’t difficult: Feed Alfred.

Composite prediction: Chargers, 26-24

Redskins 27, Chargers 26. Nick Novak misses a FG as time expires or some kind of dagger like that.

    Redskins 24, Chargers 21.

RGIII looks bad, but good result none-the-less.

Andy, you are, in this space, a writer. How about some correct apostrophe useage?

34-21 Chargers. Really wish we would have waited for our franchise QB because we give away another very high 1st rounder this year. Lame.

RG3 fakes a hand-off to no one, throws a bomb for td. WRs make sick grabs, drop easy catches. Rocca puts one into geosynchrous orbit, shanks another. The coaches are brilliant, then panic. Sally writes a nastygram about someone. Kinda like last game only different.

Skins 28 – Chargers 26. No clue how. At some point the incompetence has to level off, right?

    Right?

Skins 28 Chargers 3. It feels about right that they would look awesome this week just to get our hopes up.

The biggest gambling myth is that an event that has not happened recently becomes overdue and more likely to occur. This is known as the “gambler’s fallacy.” I hereby rename it the Redskins Fallacy. Everyone’s picks combines to 10Ws and 3Ls for the skins this week for a fractured 2-5 team playing a decent 4-3 team.
