Handing out labels following the Redskins 24-13 win over Pittsburgh.
Ryan Kerrigan — Did that thing where he picks off a screen pass and takes it to the house, which he’s done in each of his first two seasons. Also forced a fumble after beating the RT. I think he got a sack too. So, decent.
Trent Williams — No longer wearing a club on his left hand, so that’s good.
Darryl Tapp — Got love on Twitter for playing well in place of Brian Orakpo.
Aldrick Robinson — Played well on special teams. Got loose deep to draw a pass interference call that led to a TD. Also caught a ball deep down the seam to seal a last-minute FG before the half. May have hurt his leg on that one, though.
Brian Kehl — Picked up 1.5 sacks, but both appeared to be of the right place, right time variety.
Chris Baker — Turned a fourth-quarter sack into a very elaborate dance.
Roy Helu Jr. — Hey, 30-yard touchdown. Seems like he’s got the No. 2 RB spot on lock.
Dr. James Andrews — All over the place on national TV yet again!
Tirico and Gruden — You know it’s preseason when these two didn’t really annoy me that much.
Barry Cofield — Was a beast in the first half, dominating his matchup with Maurkice Pouncey, but he fractured his left hand. The hope is that he does not need hands.
Kirk Cousins — Only threw three passes before spraining his foot on a scramble. That’s not going to help his trade value. It’s not thought to be serious, and it better not be. We don’t want RGIII rushed back for fear of the Rex Grossman Experience.
DeJon Gomes — Picked up two 15-yard penalties, one for a late hit out of bounds and one for a helmet-to-helmet hit that was kinda BS. Still, not good.
London Fletcher — Flagged for unnecessary roughness. How uncouth for a 38-year-old.
Jordan Reed — Caught one pass for eight yards. Dropped another. Also apparently cut off his route on Grossman’s INT.
Chris Thompson — Came in late and fumbled right away.
Tyler Polumbus — Beaten by LaMarr Woodley for a sack to end a drive. Flagged for holding.
E.J. Biggers Someone on Twitter said he kept getting beat.
Pat White — Unimpressive, which is fine; he’s already a preseason HOFer.
The Redskinettes — Well, this is embarrassing.
Robert Griffin III — “Operation Patience” is the new slogan, apparently.
The Rex Grossman Experience — Threw a classic back-foot TD pass and also a classic back-foot INT. Ran a nice two-minute drill to get a FG in between.
Baccari Rambo — Whiffed on a tackle in the open field, then forced a fumble in the backfield on the next play.
Jawan Jamison — Got a little action; looked okay.
Leonard Hankerson — Had a bit of a drop on a Grossman ball over the middle, and then made a great one-handed TD grab, earning him a new nickname, “50-50″ (via Matt Terl with apologies to Rod Gardner).
Keiland Williams — I was not expecting to see this flash from our recent, nightmarish past, but he picked up 4.9 per on eight carries. Of course, he also hurt his knee.
