Redskins Off To Smart Start In Free Agency

    By JP Finlay | March 10, 2013

This is going to sound weird, so maybe have a seat, but the Washington Redskins are off to a promising, smart start to the NFL’s free agency period. Yesterday news emerged that the Skins have agreed to terms with four key players: left guard Kory Lichtensteiger, tight end Logan Paulsen, fullback Darrel Young and linebacker Rob Jackson.

Each player gives the team valuable skill at a variety of positions, and all of the reported contracts look to be friendly to both player and team. There’s a season worth of highlights for each guy, but one stands out above the rest: Rob Jackson’s interception on Tony Romo that sealed the NFC East title. (I would like to embed that video here, but the NFL won’t let me.)

Expect much more news to emerge around the Skins with free agency set to begin in earnest Tuesday morning. Not all the news looks good, like reports the Skins will likely lose special teams boss Lorenzo Alexander. For now, be happy with solid moves that suggest a team trying to keep a core intact.

Totally glad to see Hall gone. Just can’t seem to forgive STUPIDITY.
