    Redskins-Eagles Open Thread

    By Jamie Mottram | November 18, 2012

The bye week was so nice, but it’s good getting to watch RGIII again, and it sounds like Pierre Garcon and Brandon Meriweather are actually playing. Plus, it’d feel great to beat Philly, even if it’s the NFC East Basement Bowl. Enjoy.

    Kickoff: 1 p.m. ET
    Line: Redskins -4
    Prediction: Redskins, 21-20

Shanny is wearing a maroon puffy jacket which is so much better than a mustard hoody. Good start!

Yet another 3rd down wide pitch. At this this one was to a running back and not the back up tight end.

Has Haslett never watched the Eagles under Reid? 90% of their offense are screen plays. Maybe should have game planned for that a little, no?

    18. drewtabaga Says:
      November 18th, 2012 at 1:44 PM

Screen passes are not runs. They are not handoffs or tosses. It usually requires multiple linemen to pull well outside the hashmark. In fact, they are quite different from runs.

aFineMessi, on 3rd-and-10, RGIII threw it as far as he could (almost 70 yards) and Moss caught it over two defenders for a TD. No, I don’t know how either.

i blame banks for that turnover on downs. he couldn’t have extended the ball and extra quarter of an inch seeing as how he was literally standing next to the first down marker on the sideline? Banks has never done anything positive for the redskins. ever.

    52. Jeff Says:
      November 18th, 2012 at 3:26 PM

@aFineMessi Couldn’t agree more. Every preseason he’ll return a kick, which gives him a spot to waste during the season.

Should that have been intentional grounding on Romo? He was in the pocket and didn’t throw it near anyone?
