Anonymous Source: Raheem Morris Is ‘Another Set of Eyes’

Do the Skins have another Sherm Lewis situation on their hands? If Hogs Haven’s single, anonymous source is to be believed, yeah.

Head over to the report, which says Mike Shanahan stripped D coordinator Jim Haslett of play-calling duties, handing them to secondary coach Raheem Morris in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s meltdown at St. Louis. If true, this team is a total mess, at least on defense (not to mention special teams).

Update: Shanny refutes this report completely, for what it’s worth.

  1. On the surface, the can be compared since its taking play calling duties from one person and giving it to another. Thats about where the similarities to Sherm Lewis 1.0 end.

Sherm Lewis was out of the game for some time and was not only not a part of the organization, but mainly playing BINGO when he was asked to call the plays.

Raheem Morris is on our current staff and is less than 12 months removed from a HC job.

This is not Sherm Lewis 2.0, if its even true.

  2. Honestly, all game and including the 4th quarter, it looked like Haslett was telling Slowick(sp) the plays and he was calling them in. I was pretty drunk by the 4th though. In other news, the redskins lead the league in scoring. 4th in offense. If that continues the D will continue to give up lots of points and yards because the other teams will have to be aggressive to keep up.

  3. That’s funny, I remember Haslett playing with his headset box (on his hip) like he was having problems with it in the fourth…

  4. Do we really believe “Hogs Haven” has anonymous sideine sources. So people just say something and its kinda true. OK….Cooley is signing a contract on Friday to be a player coach for TE’s – per anonymous source
