By Jamie Mottram | August 28, 2012

Our own JP Finlay paints the picture of a grumpy Sam Huff at the Redskins lunch. Sounds like he’s unhappy with Dan Snyder for being pulled back on Redskins radio, even if it’s a long time coming. [Capital Comment]

Its unreal what the Orioles have been doing. I dont see a whole lot of difference between this team and the previous 10 years of awful teams that preceded them, except for the fact they dont quit, find a guy to make a play and dont let the stupid fundamental mistakes they make affect them once the play is done. I think you can chalk that up to leadership and O’s fans should be thankful to have Showalter running the ship.
My big fear is that heart, hustle and not quitting is going to win you regular season games but numbers and “star power” are going to start haunting the O’s down the stretch and into the playoffs. Or are they? Maybe thats the magic of Orioles baseball…

I was more upset with Larry Michael replacing Frank Herzog. Danny needed a yes man who only wanted to pitch ads and be a gopher for him.
Sam is just too old. The only thing he does that is entertaining is mess up every player on the field or get into fights with opposing fans. It’s painful to listen to Sonny bust his balls and Larry try to placate him. I wonder how many times they just cut his mic feed while he’s about to ramble. Sam would never even notice.

Getting Sam out of the booth is like taking away your grandparents drivers license. Hard to get past the emotions but it’s for the greater good. Great article JP.
