Nats Trade for Catcher Kurt Suzuki
By Chris Mottram | August 3, 2012
The Nats got the one piece they were after, trading the A’s for catcher Kurt Suzuki. He’ll be added to the Jesus Flores-Sandy Leon rotation. His offensive numbers are poor this season (.218/.250/.286), but he’s thrown out a high percentage of base-runners, something with which the Nats struggle mightily. Suzuki is 23-for-60 while Flores is a miserable 5-for-43. So there is that!
Welcome to Natitude Town, Kurt.
