Happy Fourth Of July, Clown Bros
By Jamie Mottram | July 4, 2012

That would be Bryce Harper in his “DON’T BE A CLOWN BRO” shirt on MLB Network after getting two hits in the Nats’ 9-4 victory over San Fran. They’ve won the first two games of what’s a pretty big series and enjoy a four-game lead in the NL East.
I’m a bit confused as to whether he’s actually advising us to not be “clown bros,” or if there’s a comma missing and the message is to not be a “clown, bro.” I suppose it doesn’t matter, but still. Punctuation!
In other Harper news, he’s no longer going against Chipper Jones in the Final Vote as Jones is now replacing the injured Matt Kemp, but St. Louis’ David Freese is out in front, because Cardinals fans are insane. Voting ends tomorrow.

There’s an apostrophe, so they certainly should’ve used a comma

Taking font color into account, his shirt could read DON’T CLOWN / BE A BRO.

David Freese has like 3 DUIs and did steroids in college. Bryce Harper still deserves the spot. Tony La Russa is a fraud.
