A Portrait Of Art Monk The Artist As A Young Man (PHOTO)

You may have noticed this site hasn’t been its usual crackling self lately. While that’s partially due to our teams not being very good at competitive sports, it’s mostly due to me being on the road and stuff. I’m back home now, though, and here’s something I found while wandering about.*
It’s an All-Pro Football Stars ‘81 book with a full page (and head shot!) for each NFL all-pro- and all-rookie-type player. Fortunately for you, me and every Redskins fans we know, one of those pages was dedicated to a rook named Art Monk A.K.A. my favorite athlete of all time. The snapshot:
