Dmitri Young Is All Skinny Now

    By Jamie Mottram | December 6, 2011

Dmitri Young, our sixth-most blogged-about person of 2008, weighed in at 291 pounds the spring after batting .320, and he’s looked pretty much the same ever since.

Here’s what Da Meathook is looking like now, though, (via Nats Enquirer):

There’s no telling what his secret is (massage therapy perhaps?), but word is he’s lost 70 pounds, which is 20 more than two months ago when he was playing winter ball in Venezuela.

Da Meathook is making another comeback, you see, and the Nats need depth at 1B (really, they do). I don’t see why this can’t happen. More accurately, I really want this to happen. Miss you, Meathook.

We’re gonna need a new nickname if this happens. You can’t exactly have a “skinny” Meathook. If he still bats his weight, this isn’t a good thing.

Also, if Dmitiri came out with an exercise video/ weight loss program, I’d buy it in a hillbilly heartbeat. He shows that there’s hope for all of us.

Depth guy (ie. 25th guy on roster)? Possible feel good story? Why the hell not?
