  1. “The job Gary leaves behind is good, and names like Sean Miller, Jay Wright, Jamie Dixon and Brad Stevens are being thrown around.”

“Makes sense, because Maryland is a top-20 job. Right? Right.”

It all depends on the money that Anderson and the university can put together in an offer to elite coaches. If it’s more than what they make now, and they can convince the potential coach that the athletic department is on sound financial ground (which no one really thinks is the case) – then some might listen (Miller and Dixon, maybe). Brad Stevens? No way. The guy could have any job in the nation when he chooses to take it – he’s not going to leave Butler in May to take over a program in serious flux. Who knows… Mike Brey might be interested in coming home.

  2. Thank you Gary Williams, you helped make the Terps an elite college basketball team. Your record 668–380(.637)should keep critics at bay. The 2002 NCAA Championship sealed your fate as the best Maryland basketball coach of all time. http://www.perhead.com
