I just found it from someones photo from a messageboard, so I didn’t take the pic or anything. Not sure who the credit goes to for originally spotting it.

I wonder what John Lannon thinks of that spelling?
Yes, his last name was spelled incorrectly too.

“god, the nats are awful at speling… it’s getting embarrassing”
Not really. It’s not like anyone in the Nats organization is printing that banner, or embroidering uniforms. Lannan’s name? All right, not good.
But then again it’s easy to feel smug about pointing out spelling/grammar errors. Isn’t it?
“someones” should be “someone’s”
“I wonder what John Lannon thinks of that spelling?” should be “I wonder what John Lannon thinks of that spelling.” or perhaps, “What does John Lannon think of that spelling? I wonder.”
“I can’t see the small print can somebody tell me what it is?” is a run-on sentence.
“The John Lannan Fail” is missing punctuation.
and… “god, the nats are awful at speling… it’s getting embarassing” is missing appropriate capitalization and punctuation.
Moral?… who gives a fuck? We live in a country that spells the word ‘through’ as ‘thru’ on street signs.
The Giants misspelled one of their uniforms and they won the trophy. Didn’t they?

“It’s not like anyone in the Nats organization is printing that banner, or embroidering uniforms.”
That sentence contains a comma splice.

Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the two “i”s in Honoring might stand for “11″ ? Doubt it, but maybe that’s what they were going for.

Remember the end of last season when Bobby Cox was being honored by teams on his last go round. Wasn’t it the Nat’s who sent him a cake reading “Congratulations Bobby Cocks”.
Maybe it’s the same guys.

Correct grammar in a comments section, who cares. Correct grammar on a big ass sign honoring Sept 11th and in a place that will be viewed by lots of people, epic fail. Damn, I think a elementary school kid can spell honoring. Has any other organization had this many spelling screw ups in the last few years? Next they will be misspelling Washington, or putting a V on the hat instead of a W. By no means am I a grammar expert, I was horrible in English. But my wife is an editor/technical writer/grammar expert so when I write something official, she proofreads it for me.(a comment on a blog is not official, so dont slam my grammar to bad.)

Maybe the Nationals organization is just laying easter eggs all over the place to keep guys like Dan Steinberg on their toes. Or they’re just awful at spelling. Yeah, I’ll go with the latter.

I think the two i’s in the honoring “HONORIING” was supposed to represent the twin towers.

Onna Monnapea, if that’s true about bobby’s cake.. that’s hilarious. FYI, I did not capitalize “bobby” on purpose in case someone wanted to jump on my ass.
