DMV: Finally, the Wiz Give Buckhantz A Chance to Unleash the ‘Dagger!’

    By Jamie Mottram | January 18, 2011

And in their 39th game, the Wiz picked up their first win over a team with a winning record. It was also the first time this season they’ve won two in a row. Despite that, and despite their ungodly 0-19 road record, Washington is just 4.5 games back of the 8 seed. How’s that? Well, they’re 12-8 at home, of course. The NBA is weird, the Wiz even weirder. I loved hearing the Dagger! and love that Buck did it, but with this Wiz team is a 7 point lead with 50 seconds left really nailed down?

Also, gorzellany could be a good pickup for the Nats. I had him in fantasy a few years back and he rolled off like a 9 game winning streak or something similar. I think that would break all Nats pitching records

Correct. No lead is safe with these Wizards.

And, yeah, I think Gorzo is a good pickup for the Nats. I also don’t think he’s anything more than rotation filler, if that makes sense.

Did the Nats make the FP Santangelo hiring official? He was on KNBR yesterday talking about last days and looking forward to the expierience.

As far as I know, it’s not official but the reporting suggests it’s a done deal.
