Redskins Add Standing Room Only Seats Above Shiny New HD Scoreboards

We’ve already drawn a bath filled with gasoline and have a full pack of matches in hand, because what is about to be done in this space will make us feel that dirty. We’re about to praise FedEx Field for something.

The team has installed a section of standing room only seating (although, based on the photos, you can actually sit down on the aluminum benches if you’d like) behind their new, supersized, HD scoreboards, and we must admit, they look kind of awesome. A view via Hogs Haven, which has more on their site:

The price is also (relatively) reasonable, at $290 for a season ticket. The name, however, is awful: Loud Crowd. Although between the name and the fact that the seats are labeled “standing room only,” we’ll assume getting up and cheering on 3rd down will be encouraged, as opposed to other parts of FedEx, where you’re yelled at for such outrageous displays of support.

UPDATE: Apparently, these standing room seats are part of the club level, and not available for general admission purchase. We should’ve known the Skins doing something cool at FedEx was too good to be true.

  1. those are the best seats in the house now you can avoid the snobs sitting behind you telling you to sit down after a big play or 3rd down

  2. I bought some of these as season tickets. They are plain ole season tickets and are not a part of the club. I think there are four sections of standing tickets. Two party decks (sro 308-314, sro329-335 are the “party decks” and sro 410-418 and sro 437-445). Row 9 starts the standing level in section 410. That’s where I am. Hope it wasn’t a mistake!!
