The Sorry State of the O’s in Sad Photos

    By Jamie Mottram | May 19, 2010

Despite the draw of Camden Yards, this is what 12 straight losing seasons, baseball’s worst record and an announced attendance of 9,715 looks like:

The picture was taken last night by my friend Rich Prisinzano, who was at least rewarded with a walk-off win. Still. A couple more photos:

Jesus. Did they let the attendees storm the field too?

The best part of the pictures is that I could see 2 guys sitting in my family’s old seats in left field.

I knew i should have gone to the game instead of happy hour. Sadly, even if they gave away free tickets it would probably still be this empty.

I was at the game back in ‘96 or ‘97 when Raffy hit a two run bomb in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Yankees 7-5. The entire crowd of 48k was chanting “Yankees Suck” and we were able to justifiably talk smack to the sucker Yankee fans in attendance.

Unfortunately for me it was moments like that that have imprisoned me in fandom for this horrible, horrible team. When will it end???!!!

That’s what you get when you factor in a shitty city, a shittier team, and an even shittier owner.

Long live the curse of Jon Miller!

Yea, Peter Angelos has easily surpassed Snyder as worst owner.
