DMV: Can Philly Send Those Picks Back?

Pro Football Focus ranks the Skins’ O-line as the fifth-worst in 2009, with the tackles to blame. LT should be taken care of with the No. 4 pick. Not sure where the RT comes from though, which reinforces the notion that Washington would be better off with Campbell, this year’s second-rounder and next year’s third- or fourth-rounder than McNabb.

Not all second-rounders pan out, but some do. Jon Jansen, for example, was the Skins’ second-rounder in 1999 and started at RT for the next 10 years. Other than Chris Samuels the following year, they haven’t drafted a lineman in the first two rounds since. [Hogs Haven]

  1. This assuming no free agents land in our lap, or we trade back from the 4th pick for multiple picks in later rounds.

Not to mention picks we may receive for your Boy.

Lock this down, we WILL be in the playoffs if McNabb stays healthy.

Campbell couldn’t hit my Grandmother in stride on a five and out pattern. Dude is garbage!

  2. To take your comment point-by-point:

    1. If we land a quality tackle via free agency and/or trade the 4th pick for multiple high picks, then, sure, that would be great.

    2. Sounds like we’ll be lucky to get a fourth-rounder for Campbell, let alone multiple picks.

    3. If we make the playoffs I’ll be shocked and happy to admit how wrong I was about the McNabb trade.

    4. Campbell couldn’t hit grandma in stride because he’d be sacked before she got going.
