Greivis Vasquez Literally Mops the Floor
By Jamie Mottram | February 24, 2010
Maryland struggled with Clemson at home, trailing for much of the night before making a run and taking care of business down the stretch. But it was with 5:32 remaining and the outcome very much in doubt that Greivis Vasquez, struggling through a rough shooting night, lightened the mood.
After Sean Mosley was fouled at the top of the key, getting knocked to the floor, the ref summoned a kid with a mop to come out and get Mosley’s sweat off the deck. The kid, unsure of where the perspiration was, wandered through the lane looking back and forth before Vasquez walked up, grabbed the mop and did some dirty work:

I’ll let play-by-play man Dan Bonner take it from here:
“Here’s Vasquez doing it all [laughter]. You can’t really be serious about that. Not only does he assist his teammates, he assists the guys with the mops … Do you think that Vasquez understands the concept of showmanship?”
Yes. Yes I do.
In other news, Sean Mosley, Jordan Williams and Cliff Tucker combined for 46 points, which is good considering those three must carry the weight when Greivis, Eric Hayes and Landon Milbourne are gone next year.
