  1. DMV born and bred. Didn’t catch my first hockey game until early 20′s (and only one since). Have owned Skins, Nats, and United season tix. Used to view hockey as a niche sport (what, soccer isn’t?). But the perfect timing of Caps success– due in no small part to drafting the best player in the world (ever?, too soon?), and some of the most exciting sporting events (out of any sport) I’ve ever watched during the olympics, has made me a fan-for-life (at least temporarily). I am officially a convert, and I don’t need to be asked three times.

Thank you hockey. Where have you been all my life? Could it possibly get any better?

Do you beleive in round-robin upsets that have little to no bearing save for seeding in the medal round?
    Yes.

  2. That clip should be shown every time someone dare mention Crosby and Ovechkin in the same sentance again.

Freeking awesome. I cant wait to see Canada play Russia.

  3. Actually, NBC DID catch that hit–it was in the only game the parent station televised live on Sunday.
Were it not for the millions who can’t get CNBC and MSNBC, I would be perfectly happy; the 2 affiliate stations are doing a great job w/ hockey coverage. (except for the always-annoying Pierre McGuire between the benches…)
