Nothing Says Hip-Hop Like Jay Schroeder
By Jamie Mottram | February 8, 2010
Redskins Blog confirms it; every team made a rap video in the mid-’80s:
Personal highlights from the time-capsule clip:
0:29 — RNC chairman Michael Steele, cheering.
0:31 — Someone smoking in the stands.
1:07 — Art Monk catching a touchdown pass.
1:17 — Gary Clark, rapping solo.
2:04 — Darrell Green and No. 35 (help me out) break off some funky shit.
2:45 — Back-to-back Dave Butz and Dexter Manley sacks.
3:02 — Jeff Bostic, wearing my grandmother’s sunglasses.
3:57 — What may be a Mottram brother, breakdancing.
4:01 — Darryl Grant, passing as a member of Run DMC.
4:05 — Doug Williams, smooth as hell.
5:03 — A slo-mo shot of the Fun Bunch doing their thing.
Somehow, Art Monk and Joe Gibbs didn’t make it to the studio that day.
Note: I think Steinz blogged this before, but I’m not sure. Nor do I care.

Keith Griffin is #35. Not as good a player as his double-Heisman brother but had a few productive years with the Skins.
I think that’s Speaker Tip O’Neill at about the 4:48 mark.

Impressive pull, Mr. Bradley, considering McQuaid only started three games and that was 25 years ago.
