No, I dont blame Campbell for Sellers dropping the ball, however, the way that pass was thrown it put his FB in a position to be up ended by a DB.

This site is great and I'm a long time reader. I'm orginally from the NOVA but now live in PA. Best local sports blog around the internets!

I think this season is very similar to the end of the 2001 one. That year we started 0-5 then went 5-0, and finished 8-8. Snyder ended up firing Schottenheimer after one season, just as the team was showing signs of improvement. We all know what happened next season.

It scares the piss out of me to think we're heading down the same path all over again.

The fact that the players haven't quit on Zorn tells me he's doing something right, and the fact that he never called plays isn't his fault. It's only natural for him to have bumps in the road. Same for Campbell. He's not a WCO QB behind a sorry O-line and look at the strides he's making.

If they fire Zorn, lose Campbell..we're back to square fucking one. God help those around me on draft day should we choose jimmy clausen.

Did you just blame Sellers' fumble on Campbell?

Regardless, thanks for the great thread of comments here, guys. This is a big reason why we keep doing the site every day. So thank you.

That was a total team loss. The kicker missed a kick when he should have not, Jason Campbell was Jason Campbell and hurt the team with poor judgement and fundamentals in a key situation and Landry got smoked on a double move, multipul times. There were many failures and its impossible to pin that loss one person or one situation. The Skins lost that game by failing to make plays when it really mattered.

Just throwing this out there. I do not put this loss directly on Campbell.

My biggest criticism of Jason Campbell is that he has not been a playmaker. This guy throws for 400+ yards and no scores earlier this year. Statisticly, yes, he had a great game and in theory, played well enough to earn, even deserve, the W.

But the Skins didnt win. Campbell threw a pick when it mattered most and (yet again) threw to a FB, leading him into a blow-up tackle from a DB and causing a turn over.

I think my point is, I want the guy who can throw for 350yrds and three scores and then not shoot himself in the foot when it really matters.

Landry does way too much strutting around after his tackles. Yeah he can hit people, but for someone who routinely gets burned on deep routes, and especially whose team is now 3-9, I'd appreciate it if Landry could at least make it appear that the game isn't all about him.

Here's my plan -
1) Fire Vinny & Zorn
2) Hire a real GM & Coach
3) Resign JC
4) Cut Portis, Samuels, Sellers, Daniels, Wynn, ARE and Betts. Mainly to clean out terrible contracts and old/injured guys
5) Keep Rock, Ganther, Mason at RB. Looks for a speed RB to add.
6) Draft OL in 1st and 3rd at a minimum.
7) Trade Cooley for 2nd or 3rd round pick. Draft OL or DB. I beleive that Davis can play and Cooleys value is very high right now.

What strikes me most about LaRon Landry getting burned is that he is supposed to be playing Strong Safety (sigh, RIP Sean Taylor). The sack of Brees showed how great he would be playing near the line of scrimmage.

Russel Okung needs to be the first round target, but Taylor Mays or Joe Haden wouldn't be bad as well (though Mays has some of the Landry disease, all hit, no discipline)

I hit 23 yard field goals routinely at the local park, while smoking cigarettes. I demand a tryout, and a paycheck for the tryout.

Also I'm growing a Redskins loss-beard. Won't shave until they either give me a tryout or they win. And it's not for charity.

I too hate LaRon Landry. There can't be anyone in the NFL who celebrates more after routine plays. Lets see, he goes for the big hit and often misses and gets burned in coverage. Thats not good for a safety.

Campbell was great. Can't wait to watch him do well in Seattle or Buffalo while we watch Jimmy Clausen go through rookie struggles.

Has Suisham been cut yet? How about now?
