Eighties Icon Larry Sheets Is a Master Of Glo-Golf and Dinosaurs for Everyone

    By Jamie Mottram | December 4, 2009

Mustachioed Oriole of my youth Larry Sheets (we sponsor his Baseball Reference page!), owns an amusement park in Maryland. But it’s not just any amusement park, no. It boasts an indoor, black-lit mini-golf course with glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs and sharks and gorillas and shit.

Yeah, that’s real. Follow the link for more, larger images, as well as laser tag, an arcade and a Tim Riggins-approved tagline: “Make some memories.”

    But whatever. GLOW-IN-THE-DARK DINOSAURS!!1!

(Hat tip to Kevin Kaduk, who found this while researching the ‘88 O’s.)

This is the scariest place I’ve ever seen.

I’ve been there a dozen times for my kids or their friends birthday parties. It’s a weird place but the kids love it.

tomH, tell me Larry Sheets himself has been present for said birthday parties. Because, really, that would be the ultimate gift.

      Jamie,

Each time I’ve been there I’ve looked for Larry but no luck. It’s the kids parents and what seems to be carnie castoffs as customers with teens running the parties.

Al Bumbry personally gave me his O’s hat way back when, but meeting Larry Sheets would be the ultimate O’s experience…
