Jason Campbell, Still Your Starting QB
By Chris Mottram | October 20, 2009
Jason Campbell has been granted the unfortunate opportunity to start behind the Redskins patchwork offensive line on national TV this Monday night, according to our old soul bro Jason La Canfora at NFL.com.
On Sunday, I agreed with the decision to bench Campbell in favor to Todd Collins. Jamie and I had a back-and-forth Blackberry war of words, which basically ended with, “Well … your face is stupid!” if I recall correctly. My reasoning at the time: JC played like shit in the first half* (missed wide open receivers, held the ball too long, etc.) and, if the goal is to win as many games as possible despite the fact that this team is going nowhere, Collins gave the Skins the better chance to do so in that particular game. Collins’ brilliant second-half proved as much.
Now, having said that, I love you JC, and I’ll never, ever turn my back on you again. Please forgive me. You’re obviously our starting quarterback. And remember: No matter how bad you may have played on Sunday, it’ll never be as bad as Mark Sanchez.
*I missed the Bucs game in which he played like shit in the first half only to come back and lead the team to a win in the second half, which may have altered my thinking in hindsight.

I’m just glad Colt Brennan isn’t an option. Also, your face is stupid.

Already on pace to beat last years 38 total sacks against. Think everyone(well not really) knows where the true problem is.

I feel like the team really needs to put a banner ad on the site reading “COLT BRENNAN ISN’T AN OPTION” in 85 point font with a full explanation of injured reserve underneath. It would save me a few emails.
