DMV: Fedex Field Tailgating Under Attack

captain-tailgate-mike-jeffers.jpgDMV is a daily roundup of District-Maryland-Virginia (mostly) sporting links.

This is tenuous and may just be aimed at the DTC, but something we love is at stake. City Paper’s Dave McKenna reports that the Skins emailed ticket holders with two new rules for 2009:

“Tailgating is permitted only in the last few rows of each lot.”

“All vehicles will be directed to specific spaces in each lot.”

Do not want. Actually, will not go, if this is actually happening. [City Desk]

  1. the new tailgating rules will not keep DTC from drinking, womanizing and threatening others… so it doesn’t really matter unfortunately.

Going to a Skins game has gotten to be one of the worst ideas to fill a Sunday afternoon one can have during football season. Enjoying the game at home with some friends on a nice HD is becoming more appealing.

    DTC: Can’t stop, won’t stop

Any Sunday of the year: Friends, HD, beer, food, Sunday Ticket > Wasting an entire day/money at FedEx

  4. In hindsight, I should’ve applied a question mark to the end of that headline, b/c it does seem like the Skins aren’t making any overtly negative changes here.

But, yeah, in general I’d rather watch at home than at the stadium, even if I do like to get to one or two games a year.
