DMV: O’s Get the Cream Pie Hat Trick
By Jamie Mottram | May 29, 2009
DMV is a daily roundup of District-Maryland-Virginia (mostly) sporting links.
After a strong 2008 in AA (2.68 ERA, 10.9 K/9 IP) and an excellent start to ‘09 in AAA (2.93, 12.6), 24-year-old David Hernandez pitched into the sixth, allowing one in his ML debut. That’s four straight wins for the O’s, the past three of which have seen rookies take a cream pie to the face. It’s Birdland, people, and Matt Wieters rocks the party tonight. [Roch Kubatko]
