DMV: Nats Pen Spoils Detwiler’s Debut
By Jamie Mottram | May 19, 2009
DMV is a daily roundup of District-Maryland-Virginia (mostly) sporting links.

The line on Ross Detwiler’s first ML start: 5 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 6 K and endless gushing from Rob Dibble, who’s no doubt tired of watching Cabrera and Olsen’s sorry asses. It should’ve included a W too, after Detwiler left with a 5-3 lead thanks to back-to-back jacks from NJ and Zim. But that’s not Nats. Mock and Colome blew it in the sixth, allowing five runs in route to their fifth straight loss and 13th blown save. Read more, if you dare. [WaPo]

To be fair, Simmons thinks pretty much everybody is “out of a bad sports movie.”

I sure hope nobody takes Simmons seriously about hockey. He said for years that he was done with hockey and now wants to be back on board because it’s as entertaining as it’s ever been. Fuck Bill Simmons, spineless bitch.
