Varly’s Unimaginable Save (in HD)

We’ll leave the actual analysis from the Caps’ Game 1 victory over the Penguins to those who know more about hockey than us, but here’s Varlamov’s impossible save against Crosby in the second period. Be sure to note Crosby raising his arm in celebration as he skates off screen:
That save ended up being a game winner, of sorts, because without it we were looking at overtime. It also more than made up for a rather soft goal Varly gave up earlier in the game.
Game 2 is Monday night at 7.
