The Wizards Won’t Get That No. 1 Spot …
By Jamie Mottram | April 7, 2009
… because the one I love is going pro. Damn you, Curse O’ Les Boulez!

RU-BI-O! RU-BI-O! RU-BI-O!
/or Jordan Hill

Rubio would be a lot of fun, but how he’d fit in with Gil I don’t know.
Don’t know much about Jordan Hill either, other than he is not Hasheem Thabeet, which seems like a good thing.

I’d take Thabeet over Griffin any day. Thabeet is a beast.

Wizards should trade that pick and Blatche for Amare’ Stoudemire. I hate Blatche.

Thomas, I think you mean Thabeet is thabeast

Is there a guarantee that Rubio won’t have a pricey buyout like Navarro did?
Thabeet doesn’t excite me at all. Reminds me too much of Hibbert.
Griffin is the real deal. Have you seen that kid’s speed? He moves so effortlessly. Landing him could be one of the best things to ever happen to the Wiz.
I love Amare, but he’s an injury threat at this point. We have enough of those.

If they can’t get that No. 1 spot, packaging the pick with Blatche for Amare’ would be a godsend.
Thabeet is like Rubio in that he’s redundant with what they’ve got, though he’s unlike Rubio in that he’s no fun.
And no, I’ve no idea if Rubio’s is a Navarro-esque buyout situation.

You just can’t argue with a talented guy who’s 7′3″…sure, he could be another Nene, but I think that Thabeast (thanks sportzak) is a sure thing.
Imagine this big lineup:
Arenas
Butler
Jamison
McGee
Thabeet
I think I’m biased because Griffin seems like a total D.

Is there really any doubt that OKC Thunder get the first pick in the draft and select the hometown kid? Think about how much the NBA has invested in the franchise by taking them out of Seattle and moving them to Oklahoma City. Could you imagine building a team around Durant/Green/Griffin…
I wouldn’t mind packaging the draft pick and Blatche for a solid veteran
