Bloc Party Front Man Is a Real Skins Fan

    By Jamie Mottram | March 23, 2009

Via email from youngest Mottram brother (and recent college grad!) Beef:

I went to Bloc Party last night at 9:30 club and it was [expletive] epic.  Just thought I would let you guys know that the lead singer was wearing a Portis jersey (pretty sure it was a girls jersey because it was skin tight).

He mentioned during the show that he wasn’t sure why he was wearing the jersey but that he bought it at a flea market and thought it would be right to wear it because they were in DC.”

One tweet later, Kyle from Information Leafblower comes through with pics:

When I saw them in Chicago a couple years back, he wore a real tight Jordan jersey. However, they definitely weren’t epic.

      Great show.

He found a hair on the jersey at one point and commented “this must be from the dead guy they pulled the jersey off of.” Showed advanced understanding of the DC economy for a Brit.

It is a girls jersey. Half painted trim on the sleeves, lacking the NFL Equipment logo at the base of the collar and I don’t see an under arm gusset.

There isn’t anyone in the world, and I don’t say this lightly, that knows more about Redskins apparel than The Mayor of FedEx Field.
