I think the term “shut down corner” is over used now-a-days. Rogers was a good corner at the beginning of the season, but his lack of ball catching ability and his blown coverages the last 1.5 years (just look at the Burress td last year in week 3 and last night) are not that great.

Add along Springs always being inactive, 2 of our starting 3 corners at the beginning of the season are suspect. Right now in my opinion, DeAngelo Hall is outplaying all the other corners on this team. Zorn needs to put him back in punt return and get ARE out of there. He has to have the highest fair catch per punt ratio in the league.

fumble or not, this team is fucked. The o-line is a gigantic aged turnstyle, the front 4 on D can’t get a lick of pressure against a rookie QB, our secondary while exemplary during the first half the season has been getting burned week in week out (did anyone see the flacco to heap pass that hung in the air for 3 or so seconds without a pick/deflection?). The offense clearly doesn’t give a shit based on the # of false starts/illegal shifts. Lots of people need to be fired in the offseason. I just wish Vinny Cerrato could be the first.

As a comparison, the NY Giants have taken 3 OL and 7 DL in the first 4 rounds since 2000. Interesting how that is the strength of their team

What the fuck is Colt Brennan going to do?

Since 2000 when we took Samuels in the first round, we have drafted exactly 2 OL (Dockery & Rinehart) and 0 DL in the first 4 rounds. That about sums up the problem.

This whole “stay medium” shit needs to go out the window. Someone needs to go ape shit and turn this thing around. This team and it’s coaches are way too complacent at this point in time. No sense or urgency, no leadership (that I can see or is being displayed), and they all look like they are just playing out the season at this point in time.

As for the Portis fumble, I am also in the mindset that it wasn’t. but oh well. Here are my 5 ideas that I think need to happen during the off season.

1) Danny Smith and the kicking group (P & K) all need to be fired.
2) Carlos Rogers relegated to 2nd team or traded
3) Get a safety in the lineup so the Landry can play his natural safety position.
4) Find some type of pass rush
5) Bye Bye Joe Bugel, hello Russ Grimm.
