Want: Great 8 Chain & Pendant Necklace
By Jamie Mottram | December 3, 2008
Guys I know don’t wear $175 necklaces, and the ladies in my life don’t care for hockey, so I’m not sure who’s buying Alex Ovechkin’s replica necklace, but it’s .925 of sterling awesome.
The Great 8 necklace is offered in the store section of Ovechkin’s new site, which is worth checking out, if only because I never knew “Ovie” is actually spelled “Ovi”. In any event, congrats to last season’s MVP on winning November’s Player of the Month. Twenty-five points in 14 games is not to be trifled with.
(Thanks to Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshynski for the phantom assist.)

An 8 inside a minaret. Nice concept. Could be alot cleaner. But still nice.

I believe I read before the season that “OVI” is the “official” (read “branded”) way to spell it. Of course, most people are still spelling it the old way.
