Chris Horton Doesn’t Know His Address

    By Jamie Mottram | November 24, 2008

chris-horton.jpgNFL Defensive Rookie of September and Redskins safety Chris Horton’s blog is the latest example of why athlete/bloggers need editors:

“This is Chris Horton coming to you live from my apartment in Ashford, Virginia.”

That’s innocuous enough, right? It’s just your boy, The Predator, coming at you from the comfort of his home. Except I’m pretty sure Mr. Horton lives in Ashburn, Va., seeing as how there is no Ashford, Va.

But, hey, the guy’s a rookie from L.A., 3,000 miles from home. How’s he supposed to know? I mean, it’s not like Ashburn’s notable for anything other than Redskins Park and people who can’t afford housing closer to D.C. Plus, he only lives there. Might as well be Asheville for all he cares.

    Update:
Horton addresses the gaffe over at Homer McFanboy.

Don’t judge. Eddie Jordan’s firing effects us all in different ways.

Tough life not knowing where you live. I wonder when the edit will come?

Jamie how dare you leave out what used to be AOL’s headquarters and the former MCI head quarters and the Wegmans… oh wait cause that’s all in mythical Dulles.

They are in Dulles, yes, but I love that Wegman’s. As do Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell, both of whom I’ve spied there.
