Davin Meggett Is Not Evil Like His Father

    By Jamie Mottram | November 6, 2008

Maryland is a ranked 6-2 (3-1) team, in control of their own fate in the ACC and facing the Hokies in Blacksburg tonight. It’s quite a position to be in considering they lost to Middle Tennessee State by 10 and UVA by 31, and they may not be here if not for a big play in the closing seconds of their last game, a rain-soaked homecoming squeaker over NC State.

That play, a 31-yard screen to set up the game-winning field goal, was made by backup running back Davin Meggett, an 18 year-old freshman getting 5.3 yards per carry and combining with sophomore starter Da’Rel Scott (doubtful tonight) for 123 yards/game. He’s also nothing like his wretch of a father, an all-purpose running back/return man/Redskins killer seen here in the brilliant blue hue of ‘89 Pro Set.

You just lost all of your daily readers affiliated with Towson University.

And yet, heightened the respect from your sole Morgan State University reader.

I hope Mayland continues the trend of getting up for big games. I think the stat I saw was 1-2 at night under Fridge with one of those two losses being a Thursday night laugher thanks to Tech. Lets take it to those key rattling Hee-Haw hillbillies!

      Hee-Haw hillbillies? Good one. Not.

      Tech Triumph!

Oh hey, I know who those two night losses were against. But since we’re talkin’ hillbillies….
