JMU Storms the Field After Epic Victory

We haven’t heard from JMU sports correspondent Rob Abbott since receiving the following text messages late Saturday night:
Amazing! … Bringing the goalposts home! … Unreal!
So let’s just assume he’s alright after JMU beat top-ranked App. State 35-32 despite falling behind 21-0 at the half, thus claiming sweet revenge for last year’s I-AA playoff ouster. And, of course, this happened:
Hard to believe that’s the same team I failed to support on the Saturdays of my undergraduate years, but it’s good to see the program continue to grow … perhaps even to the top spot in this week’s FCS rankings. And let’s hope Rob got home safe and sound. He, like me, is really not in college anymore.
