Charlie Taylor Is So Mod Right Now
By Jamie Mottram | September 10, 2008
From the stunning portrait of a Hall of Famer to the perfect-for-its-time 1971 Topps design, this is just a beautiful card. And dig the back for a terrifying mod football player and some terrific stats, especially for an era that saw limited passing and 14-game seasons. The Skins sure could use a Charley Taylor these days. Yeah, that’s right: It’s Charley, not Charlie. Error!

1. More impressive - the cartoon offensive lineman receiving a pass in the bottom left corner.
2. Zorn considers lining up Stephen Heyer at TE in 5…4…3…2…

6-3, 210, and a cool number. Why was I such a Roy Jefferson fan?

6′3″, 210 … I’m surprised Cerrato didn’t draft him in the 2nd round.

I know Charley Taylor. My dad goes shark fishing and drinks with him and Mosely and Theisman.

I am surprised the playing in Pokadot Bell Bottoms, and top buckle shoes fad did not stick. Picture top right.
