Announcing the Y! Sports’ Olympics Blog
By Jamie Mottram | August 6, 2008
To those who responded to our job listing, I thank you. And to those who are simply interested in the Olympics, allow me to introduce Yahoo! Sports’ freshly minted blog for the Summer Games, Fourth-Place Medal.

It looks and feels like the rest of the Yahoo! Sports blogs and features an ensemble cast of characters: Chris Chase (Player Hater’s Ball), Maggie Hendricks (Chicks Heart Fights, Ladies…), Nick Friedell (Big League Stew), Pat Imig (Joe Sports Fan, The Big Lead) and Bill Fitzgerald (FitzFacts).
They’ll be updating ~10 times daily for the duration of the Games, and live blogging Friday’s Opening Ceremony. So click over if that’s what you’re into. And for the D.C. fans who populate this site, I especially suggest this post: “Could Darrell Green have won Olympic gold?” (Hint: hells yeah.)

Hendricks is a good pick.
