But I Was Promised a View of the Capitol
By Jamie Mottram | July 10, 2008
Half Street Blues shares a disturbing development: a big red tent atop one of the Nats Park garages that’s obstructing those trumpeted Capitol views.

For 95% of ticketholders (i.e. everyone who’s not sitting high atop the first base line), it’s no big deal. It’s probably a nice little change, a splash of Nats Red against the concrete jungle. But for those other 5%, that plain sucks and is another misstep for an organization that doesn’t know any other way.
Oh well, just more reason to spend your games drinking at the Red Loft.

You have to admit that view of the Geico Gecko is the hotness, though.

I just can’t get worked up about the views of anything not in the stadium. I don’t go to Nats Park to see the Capitol.
Then again, if the team wasn’t so miserable (i.e., if they gave people a reason not to let their attention wander from the field) I bet there would be fewer complaints about the skyline.

So what is 5% of the fans at a Nats game? Like 20 or something. Maybe they can sign a petition.
