Help Wanted: Weekend Editor for TSB
By Chris Mottram | July 8, 2008
I’ve been searching for a consistent weekend editor over at The Sporting Blog for some time now, but with not much luck. So, I have decided to resort to a classified ad right here, hoping that at least one or two of our hundreds of readers will be interested in being paid to blog.
The details:
- You will be paid with the strongest currency known to man: the American dollar. I’ll discuss the amount with serious inquires, but it’s more than one dollar and less than one thousand dollars per weekend.
- Expectations include posting somewhere between five-to-ten times per day, between the hours of 10ish and 6ish, unless a major sporting event calls for varying hours; not showering; working from your living room; being sober enough to type.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends consistently, not one or two times a month. It’s only your weekend, what else would you be doing?
- Must be able to blog about a wide variety of sports/topics. I need a general blogger here, not someone who is going to just post about the Olympics all weekend. (If the Games are your thing, however, Yahoo! might need your services.)
- Be funny
- Must be okay with all the naked women who will throw themselves at you once they discover you’re a TSB contributor. I get first dibs, but the blog-groupie leftovers are still quite impressive.
- Speaking of women, if you are one, you need not apply. Glass ceiling rules are in effect here. (Just kidding … or am I?)
Alright, I think that’s about it. If you’re for realz interested, email me and send along some links to writing samples, if you’d be so kind.

I hope you do not get an aneurysm from laughing too hard at my resume.
