Happy 4th of July From Bobblehead Otis
By Jamie Mottram | July 4, 2008
Due to 11 people getting hurt last 4th of July, my hometown of Vienna isn’t having fireworks and is having a laser light show instead. So, basically, my hometown is extending a middle finger to America, which is righteous. Almost as righteous as laser lights themselves, which sound trippy, man.
Also, smurphette suggested that posting more pictures of my dog would increase female readership. Since she may be our only female reader, I’m heeding that advice. Thanks to new MLB bobblehead creation technology, here’s Otis wishing you a safe and happy holiday, full of all the booze, red meat and frickin’ laser beams you can handle.
(Otie went with the O’s because he looks better in Orange & Black than the Nats’ Red & Blue. In real life, his only sports apparel comes in Burgundy & Gold. Huge Skins fan and all-around sports nut, that Otis.)

What next, no Halloween parade? I did hear that the Clydesdales aren’t regulars any more though :(

Note the following inconsistencies with your bobblehead.
1. The bill of the cap is not bent.
2. Adam Jones did not approve the licensing of his arms for this image.

If there is any sort of emblematic middle finger in play here, Vienna is on the receiving end– not the giving. Let’s not confuse wussism with defiance.

WFY, as long as the little shriner cars are involved, the Vienna Halloween parade is OK by me.

Happy 4th of July to you, too, Otis (and may I say that the tennis ball is a nice touch).
WTF is with the Nats not having a home game today? Super. Lame.

Good point, I remember there being motorcycles too. I probably have not been since 8th or 9th grade. Maybe I’ll take my wife and son there sometime while my parents are still living there.

This is the first case of animalistic racism that I have ever seen.
So you have black lab and you automatically think he would be a black man? :-)

They just stopped serving beer at Ramsey Day up here in NJ, what a shame. Big ups to Vienna on getting rid of dem morters, swimming through falling ash during that show was quite the pita! You would think we would have learned to point them toward the sky.
