Blog Show 52: Big Daddy Drew Magary
By Jamie Mottram | June 12, 2008
You’re probably not supposed to get away with this stuff on regional late afternoon cable television, hence the tardiness of this bootleg, but our site’s standards are not so high. Either way, the next edition of Blog Show will be my last, so it’s good to have a guy like Drew on the program before shoving off. We thank him for his time and candor, even if it was tough to get him to come out of his hard candy shell. Obviously.
Sponsor you should totally support: Senate Insurance

Well, geez, until Jamie said he is moving to Wilmington, NC, I thought we knew who the new Deadspin editor would be.
June 13th, 2008 at 9:39 AM
Sorry, Dieter. The Deadspin editor will have to be someone who, you know, can actually write, be funny, etc.
June 13th, 2008 at 10:56 AM
I was concerned because at first I thought you were going to say Wilmington, Delaware. That would have been very sad.
June 13th, 2008 at 12:06 PM
that fucking sucks
June 13th, 2008 at 12:16 PM
Will is leaving Deadspin, no blog show? Is Dan’s sister really getting married this weekend? Or is he leaving the Washington Post?
June 13th, 2008 at 12:21 PM
Will blog show just be over or is Dan going to take on a new co-host?
June 13th, 2008 at 12:23 PM
Admit it–you guys are gonna miss all the condescending lead-ins.
Jamie & Dan have had a pretty good string of …. … “guests”
June 13th, 2008 at 12:32 PM
At least I let you talk.

Jeff V, to be honest, I’m not sure what Blog Show’s future holds, though you can rest assured Steinz and Littles will be involved.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:00 PM
Steinz got abused on his own show!!
Here’s a question … someone please explain to me why Wilmington NC precludes anyone from doing a job in teh Internets??
Say hi to Pacey for me in Wilmington!!!

I was right. I sooo called it. I said in an earlier comment that I thought Jamie was on the way out.

The only difference is that I was just kidding, and I was talking about the Steinz and not Jamie.
Other than that I called it spot on. :-)

Well, then. A farewell to the best Internet show focusing exclusively on we fool bloggers. On the upside, this greatly increases the potential for a Mottram and Mottram “Wayne’s World”-style blog show return in North Carolina.
