Mr. Walk-Off on African Baseball Network
By Jamie Mottram | June 10, 2008
Ryan Zimmerman’s Comcast SportsNet blog may be lame, but all it takes to bring the personality out of Mr. Walk-Off is African Baseball Network CEO (and 2001 Name of the Year finalist) Awasum Junior (via Big League Stew):
There are at least three things to love here:
- “Mr. Ryan.”
- The hushed tones.
- Awasum looking around for someone else to talk to.
For real though, kudos to ABN for existing and Zimm for being a good sport.
Bonus: Three more D.C.-relating sporting ‘Tubes that popped up yesterday:
- Caron Butler dancing at a celeb hoops game [D.C. Sports Bog]
- MJ Wizards jersey guy fighting at Belmont [Busted Coverage]
- Obama’s ‘Witness’ commercial [Shoals' Gchat message]

So let me get this straight. The African Baseball Network couldn’t find ANY of the African-American players on the team to interview?

Wow, he blatantly did not want to interview him.
I saw better acting in the movie “Ed” starring Matt LeBlanc.
