Kid Rock’s Boozy Triple OT Hockey Party
By Jamie Mottram | June 3, 2008
I’m not much of a Kid Rock fan, but his affinity for Detroit is something I, as a sports fan in the tank for his hometown, can and do relate to. So it was with amusement that I stumbled upon this quote and photo in Dan Wetzel’s column on last night’s Stanley Cup classic:
“This (is) when the memories are made … at least they didn’t shut off beer sales.”

Respect. To tell you the truth, I didn’t make it past the first overtime and followed much of regulation via the Puck Daddy live blog as Mrs. Relevant and I watched The Bachelorette. Speaking of the live blog, Puck Daddy is on an ungodly tear since starting up in April. I’d call it essential fare for the modern hockey fan, but I’m biased and also not much of a hockey fan, so you be the judge. Speaking of the reality show, “professional basketball player” Graham is actually retired German pro baller and former Appalachian St. Mountaineer Graham Bunn.
And this proves I’m more into The Bachelorette than the Stanley Cup Finals.

I gotta give it up to Greg. I’ve long believed that MJD is the best blogger out there but I read Greg just as much. Skeets writes about the NBA so I don’t really care.
