Nats Continue to Be Good at Getting Hurt
By Chris Mottram | June 2, 2008
Ryan Zimmerman has missed the Nats last seven games with some sort of shoulder injury. It was being described as “soreness,” but it seems to be a bit more serious than that:
Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman has a small tear in his left, non-throwing shoulder and will require more rest.
He underwent an MRI on Monday and was then evaluated by the team orthopedist, who recommended rest and anti-inflammatory medications. The Nationals are consulting with other orthopedic physicians for additional evaluations.
Chico at the Journal is saying it’s a “small labral tear.” I have no clue what a “labral” is, but it sounds like one of those weird parts of the female reproductive system that still perplexes me. Chico also reminds us of the team’s overcrowded DL, which features many of the Nats “star” players (Nick Johnson, Chad Cordero, Ronnie Belliard, that stupid piece of shit douchebag catcher who still hasn’t packed his shit, etc).
But hey, Father’s Day is coming up, so it’s a better time than ever to get your Mr. Walk-Off t-shirts … oh, fuck it. Buy the Zorn Star. He might lose, but at least he won’t go on the DL.

And just in time for Zimm Bobblehead Night! (Hint: It’s Thursday.)

Chris, I think you might be the one person who hates Lo Duca more than I do (awesome). Someone needs to take one for the team and offer up their underage daughter to instigate his public disgrace (as if his “hitting” hasn’t been disgraceful enough).

Is this going to be an actual Zimmerman bobblehead or is it gonna be like last time where they take a random black dude and call him Dmitri Young? I don’t put just any bobble next to Giant Teddy and Flat-Brimmed Chad.
