Cool Papa Mottram Is Stalking Li’l Dmitri
By Jamie Mottram | May 6, 2008
Since stalking and Da Meathook are two things held near and dear, here’s our dad running the family business on Dmitri Young Bobblehead Night.

And since the Nats are on a 9-3 run to respect, let’s catch up on some stuff:
• Ryan Zimmerman, Nick Johnson and Austin Kearns won’t continue not hitting shit, but Shawn Hill, Odalis Perez, Tim Redding and John Lannan won’t continue pitching lights out either. Their current mark of 14-18 (a 71-win pace) is about right for a team that won 73 games last year and didn’t add much, if anything, in the offseason.
• Yahoo! Sports led with Jeff Passan’s look at poor Nats Park attendance yesterday. Interesting stuff about how new lobbying laws, in concert with crazy pricing, may be the reason for empty seats behind home plate — seats that Big League Stew has ideas to fill.
• Over at the Post, Chico Harlan is taking over the Nats beat, Barry Svrluga looks at farm system arms and Thomas Boswell charts the free agent course. (Come to Washington, Mr. Sabathia!)
• The Nats broke out the Grays uniforms on Saturday, reminding me how I wish they’d gone with that name instead.

What kind of pose do they have DY in? Summoning a wizard in the clubhouse?

Those are Dmitri’s voodoo hands, sir.

The most obnoxious part is, in the new lobbying reform rules, Members managed to punish staffers (the primary recipients of Nats tickets) while completely neglecting the real lobbying problem: campaign contributions. Thanks for nothing, boss.

the reason why they can’t sell out that stadium is because it’s a rip off. I know they have to make money but if they lowered their prices (especially on beer/food) I know I’d be there alot. Why pay 7 dollars for a beer when I can get 6 of them for less at the store.
