Caps Lose Despite Huet’s Best Efforts
By Chris Mottram | April 18, 2008
If you were to look up the definition of “brutal” in the dictionary, you might very well find this description:
bru·tal - adjective
1. Going out to watch Game 4 of the Caps-Flyers series. It’s a beautiful day in Charlotte and you’re sitting at an outdoor bar. All seems well. Then you realize the guy next to you is somehow a Flyers fan despite being from Jersey. He also inexplicably likes the Redskins, but that’s neither here nor there. It gets worse. The bartender is now also rooting for the Flyers, despite being a Charlotte native, solely because Guy No. 1 is his buddy. They both yell, cheer, hoop and holler at everything the Flyers do. Caps lose in double overtime.
2. Forgetting to DVR “The Office.”
So yeah, that kinda sucked. But before Flyers Fan and Bartender got their way, there were happier times. With the Caps up 3-2 in the third, Huet made what can only be described as “the best save I’ve seen all season“:
