Adam Jones Is Baltimore’s Mr. Walk-Off
By Jamie Mottram | April 18, 2008
The Beltway Battle has a new Mr. Walk-Off (or is it Adam Bomb?) after Adam Jones ended a comeback win over Chicago with a walk-off liner in the 10th. Relive the Birdlandian glory:
It was a helluva win, especially considering Bobby Jenks’ goatee had a two-run lead in the 9th and it puts the O’s at 9-7 before a weekend series with the Yanks. With no illusions of maintaining this 90-win pace, let’s relish it and the foundation for the the near and distant future, what with Brian Roberts, Luke Scott, Nick Markakis and Mr. Jones all looking like keepers.
Of course, I said the same thing a month ago about Nick Johnson, Wily Mo Pena, Ryan Zimmerman and Lastings Milledge, so there you go.
Update: Kevin Millar dishes out killer high-fives.

Adam Bomb is pretty freaking sweet. Besides, with Z, that’s a have/eat situation.
